Answer: Our team of eating disorder experts offers both inpatient and outpatient services to individuals who are interested in and eligible for our research. To determine which treatment option makes sense for a particular individual, we take into account that person’s diagnosis, location, and preference, as well as the nature of our current studies.
- What is your inpatient treatment option?
- We have a 12-bed inpatient unit with an interdisciplinary staff of eating disorder experts, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, recreational and occupational therapists, social workers, and a nutritionist. Patients receive a variety of group and individual therapies along with structured, supportive meals. Our unit is voluntary and individuals receiving treatment have either already participated in research or are in the process of contributing to our studies. To learn more about inpatient treatment at our program, please read this detailed description or hear more from our Director, Evelyn Attia MD in this video. Or, simply call us at (646) 774-8066 so that we can answer your questions.
- What are your outpatient treatment options?
- At the moment, we offer different outpatient options for individuals with bulimia and anorexia nervosa, including psychotherapy and medication.
